The Challenge

A new Padel tennis court was planned to replace an existing practice court adjacent to the covered tennis courts, but this needed to preserve the aspect from the listed chapel and cemetery next door and to avoid adverse impact on surrounding tree screening.

The Solution

The supporting structure needed careful design to avoid damaging roots, and surrounding ground levels and landscaping were designed to screen the court from the neighbouring cemetery. Al fresco seating and a dining area were included to enhance the club’s facilities..
