The Challenge

An existing residential care home wanted to expand by adding a storey to their 1950s building.

The Solution

Brill + Owen designed a proposal that included the required accommodation but using a light-weight SIPS panelling system bearing onto existing lines of structure. The whole extension would be craned onto the roof with minimal disruption to the residents on lower floors.
