Who we are
Brill & Owen was founded in 1987 by Nicholas Brill, Maryla Brill and the late John Owen, whose memory lives on in the practice name. Over the years, we have built a reputation for designing high quality schemes of all types and sizes that combine creativity and meticulous attention to detail.
Nicholas Brill’s experience and planning contacts gained working for the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust have made Brill & Owen the architect of choice for individuals seeking a contemporary and stylish home in this unique area of London. In 2009, the firm was proud to be awarded the Alexander Stuart Gray Architectural Merit Award in recognition of our contribution to enhancing the area’s aesthetic appeal.
Stephen Manship joined the practice in 2013 having worked previously in the Cotswolds, Lake District National Park, and as Associate partner at Peter Wood and Partners in Kensington where he gained extensive experience renovating and refurbishing high-end homes in Kensington, Knightsbridge and Westminster.
